Our first litter of December babies is here! JuneBug began pulling fur around 9:30 this morning. By the time I got home from church at 12:30, she had kindled. Fortunately, she used her nest box and did everything right! JuneBug delivered 6 babies. Out of the 6, 1 was DOA, and we have 1 peanut, 1 runt, and 3 very healthy little ones! The runt is not much bigger than the peanut so I wouldn't be surprised if we lose it, but we'll just have to wait and see.
It looks like we have a fun variety of colors! One of the larger ones is a solid black, one is a broken blue, and the other looks to be a broken in a lighter color - blue tort or black tort, most likely. The runt is pink as well, and probably also a blue tort or black tort. The peanut is solid black, and the DOA baby was a broken black.
I can't wait to watch these cuties grow up! We've waited a long time for dilutes, and now it looks like we will have a couple! We are so thankful for these three healthy babies, and hopefully our little runt will make it too!
