Baby Holland Grows Up
Hi! My name is Pandemonium - Panda for short. I am a broken black Holland Lop buck. As all Hollands do, I went through a lot of changes from birth to an older junior! On this page, you can take a peek into the first few months of my life!
~ Newborn ~
Here I am at 1 day old! In the first picture, I am next to my sister, Starlit. As a new kit, I cannot see or hear, and I have only a thin layer of peach fuzz for fur.
~ 1 Week Old ~
By now, I have a layer of soft, velvety fur. My ears are open, and even though I still can't see anything, I am becoming extremely mobile!
~ 2 Weeks Old ~
Now I can see, and my ears will sometimes stand up. Starlit and I have graduated from our nest box, and love to chase mommy around as we try to nurse! Even though mommy's milk is my main source of nourishment, I have started to nibble on hay.
~ 3 Weeks Old ~
I am still nursing, but I can eat feed, oats, and hay and am starting to drink from a water crock. I have begun daily posing practice too - aren't I a sweet little ball of fluff? Lots of people think we look the cutest at this age!
~ 4 Weeks Old ~
My ears are starting to lop and I'm looking more and more like a Holland!
~ 6 Weeks Old ~
I will soon be weaned from mommy. I am no longer nursing, but I sure do LOVE my hay! By now, I know how I'm supposed to pose. My ears have lopped and I'm getting ready to molt my baby coat. If I were going to a new home, I would be ready to leave in just a couple of weeks!
~ 3 Months Old ~
I've grown so much! I now have a beautiful coat of fur and my head just has a bit more growing to do.
~ 4 Months Old ~
As an older junior, I have my first show under my belt and am just finishing up my head molt. In a couple of months, I'll be off to more shows and will get to sire some kits of my own!
